This is just nominated as a possibility for the fantasy title- does anyone have other suggestions, or even agree on this title. We still need a SF title too.

Tim

I think for the February meeting we were talking about doing 2 fantasy novels, since we're doing 2 science fiction novels in January. However that may change between now and then!

All suggestions most welcome though.

Keep smiling :)

Don't look at me. Unless you want either Star Trek or Dr Who books put forward. That's really one of the main reasons I decided to start going to the review group because of my admittantly limited repertoire when it comes to books. I'm glad to say that I haven't been disappointed and will endeavour to attend every meeting I can - scheduling and committments permitting of course.

The two books for the Feb meeting are interesting in that both authors are coming from very different views, especially regarding (of all things) the Narnia series. Some suggested links (warning: both are somewhat confrontational):

Here is Pullman with an atheist's take on Narnia: http://www.crlamppost.org/darkside.htm

Here is Wright on his own conversion from atheism where he quotes Narnia (also see his responses at the end where he defends the series): http://johncwright.livejournal.com/59241.html

See you in a few weeks.

Michael.
