I have just upgraded to the latest version of PHPBB. This is a major new offensive in the war of attrition against spammers. The past month has seen our forums hosed with spam user join ups. I will soon start pruning the member list and tweeking the layout. |

I have reduced the oversized font size and deleted almost 4000 recently registered spam signups. It is possible some genuine people have lost their registration amounst them. I hope they will try again or tell me for me to fix it. I have modified the registration proceedure to require a genre specific question answered correctly. This should stop the spam bots for a while. |
